April 12th 2008 – ONE AMAZING COINCIDENCE
One couple’s story of a magical wedding experience and yes it's true - great minds do think alike!
When Gemma Crockett & Deepak Hegde's dream wedding venue unexpectedly closed a few weeks before the big day some real wedding day magic was needed!
Sometimes fate and coincidence conspire to make something wonderful happen.
Disaster Strikes
Whilst in India celebrating their traditional "Indian" wedding Gemma & Deepak received some shocking news. The hotel they had chosen for their English wedding in Worthing had decided to close for redevelopment and thus their dream venue had vanished with just weeks to go.
The family rallied round and the Worthing Bowls Club was selected - the celebrations could go ahead!
Conscious that their new venue wasn't exactly what they had wanted Gemma decided to enlist the services of Wedding Magician Marc Lemezma - who she had seen at another wedding previously.
And then something amazing happened - read Gemma's own words below!
Marc Lemezma and his Amazing Magic was the icing on the (wedding) cake to our perfect day on 12th April 2008.
My mum and I had the same idea to book Marc for our wedding reception after seeing him perform 18 months earlier at my best friends special day.
Trying desperately to keep the magical secret a surprise for our guests, I emailed Marc, little did I know mum was doing the same thing at the same time wanting to keep it a secret from me!
Thankfully, he was available for our special day and looked forward to entertaining our wedding guests, many from other countries.
At the reception, the kids were delighted with their balloons, (especially my nephew Babu with his motorbike) and the adults loved Marc's jokes and close-up magic.
It was a great relief as Bride and Groom to look around the room and see the guests laughing and enjoying themselves!
We are very grateful to Marc and want him to know that we received many great comments from our guests, so we are sure we will see him at other friends' function in the future!
